Our Specialty Massage Services

  • A specific form of bodywork which requires advanced training in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Palpation.  This treatment is helpful for chronic pain and improving function of the musculoskeletal system. This works from the top more superficial layers of fascial tissue, then slowly going deeper into the tighter connections of neuromuscular holding patterns.

  • Techniques such as deep tissue work, stretching, and muscle-specific release help reduce soreness, improve flexibility, enhance circulation, and lower injury risk. It’s ideal both before activity—to improve performance and range of motion—and after workouts or events to speed recovery and decrease inflammation. Every session is customized to your sport, training load, and goals, so you leave feeling looser, stronger, and ready for what’s next.

  • A method of bodywork designed to release nodules in taut bands of muscle fiber. Commonly called “knots,” these nodules are responsible for local and referred pain within the muscles and joints.  This treatment can be helpful for chronic pain and improving function of the musculoskeletal system.

  • The most common form of massage therapy. It's used for relaxation - the smooth and gentle strokes are often used for stress relief and full-body restoration.  This treatment can be helpful for circulation, and relieving overall tension stored within the body.

  • Prenatal and postnatal massage therapy at The Refinery is designed to support the changing body through every stage of motherhood. During pregnancy, gentle, side-lying techniques help ease low back and hip pain, reduce swelling, improve circulation, and promote better sleep—while creating a calming space for both mom and baby. In the postpartum period, massage focuses on relieving neck, shoulder, and upper back tension from feeding and carrying, supporting core and pelvic recovery, and lowering stress levels during an often overwhelming season. Every session is tailored for comfort, safety, and relaxation, helping mothers feel restored, balanced, and cared for.

  • The therapist will use a movement along with the suction created by fire lit inside special cups, creating a vacuum. In these sessions, the cups are applied and moved across different muscle groups to create a “cupping massage.” Cupping can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, lymphatic stimulation, relaxation, and well-being.

  • When you come in for a massage at The Refinery, you can expect a session that’s customized from the start. It begins with a brief conversation about how you’re feeling, your activity level, problem areas, and goals—whether that’s relaxation, pain relief, recovery, or improved mobility. Your therapist will tailor pressure, techniques, and focus areas specifically to your body that day, combining therapeutic work with a calm, comfortable environment. Throughout the session, communication is encouraged to ensure comfort and effectiveness. You’ll leave feeling looser, more balanced, and with a better understanding of what your body needs, often with simple recommendations for stretching, movement, or recovery between visits.

  • Your therapist isn’t just focused on relaxation—she brings a fitness background and deep understanding of functional movement, muscle mechanics, and how real people train, lift, and live. That means sessions go beyond general “feel good” work and target the root of tightness, imbalance, and overuse patterns, whether from workouts, desk posture, parenting, or daily stress.

Your massage at The Refinery supports strength, mobility, recovery, and injury prevention, not just temporary relief.
